Filming for the Disney Parks Holiday Special at Disneyland Today

The stage is set. The castle is covered in snow. And it is 82 degrees in Southern California. But that doesn’t stop Disney magic and the “show must go on.” Filming for the 2026 Disney Parks Holiday Special was taking place today at Disneyland Park. The special will air on ABC during the holiday season. ABC has not yet announced an official air dates for the 2026 television special, though past holiday broadcasts traditionally have aired between Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas Day.

The 2025 Disney Parks Holiday Special was hosted by Derek Hough and Ginnifer Goodwin and featured performances by Gwen Stefani, Nicole Scherzinger, Trisha Yearwood and more. Performances are recorded at Disneyland in Southern California and the four Walt Disney World theme parks in Central Florida.

Today’s filming at Disneyland include a performance by Madison Beer, a singer-songwriter best known for songs like “Selfish”, “Reckless”, and her Grammy-nominated dance-pop hit “Make You Mine.” Her performance was recorded on a stage set up in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Jon Favreau was also spotted in the park filming for the upcoming television special (probably promoting the upcoming Oswald miniseries coming to Disney+ February 2027).

The 2026 Disney Parks Holiday Special will air on ABC this holiday season as well as be available for streaming on Disney+ (usually the day after the special airs on ABC). Check back for the air date once it has been announced.
