The Disneyland Resort announced today that Fantasmic! will be returning to Disneyland Park on Friday, May 24, 2024.
The nighttime spectacular will return to the Rivers of America just in time for the Memorial Day weekend next Spring. No other new details about the show are available at this time but Disney promises to share more information in the coming months.
In April 2023, the giant Maleficent dragon which was fondly know as “Murphy” caught fire during a nighttime performance which caused the show to end abruptly as well as to be canceled through the summer. Later, Disney announced that the show would not return until Spring 2024 with a new climatic battle between Mickey Mouse and Maleficent. The only details of the reworked show that Disney announced at the time was that Maleficent would not returning in her dragon form and that their would be new special effects.
