The first-ever attraction themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco is coming to Disney California Adventure Park and today the Disneyland Resort revealed the location for the new attraction along with construction updates. The Coco themed attraction will be built near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, in areas that are predominantly backstage today. Construction on this attraction is set to begin backstage this fall.

The attraction will be filled with characters and music from the beloved movie, as you join Miguel on a trip to the land of the dead. This will be a boat-ride attraction with Audio-Animatronics. And based on what Josh D’Amaro said August 2024 during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the skeleton Audio-Animatronics will appear in the attraction in “ways you’ll have to see to believe.”

Based on the concept art for the location of the new Coco-themed attraction at Disney California Adventure Park, it will be located behind Pixar Pier with the entrance near Paradise Gardens Park. At this time, Disney has not released an estimated completion date for the new Coco-themed attraction, but based on previous attractions, the attraction will take at least 1-2 years to be completed.
