What if you could talk to animals and understand what they’re saying? Wonder no more because in Disney-Pixar Hoppers, scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to talk to animals as an animal.
The first trailer for Pixar Animation Studios’ 30th full length movie Hoppers is available to watch online. In the trailer, we see Mabel, an animal lover, seize an opportunity to use the technology. Once in the animal world, Mabel will experience things beyond her wildest dreams.
One of the funny lines from the trailer is when Mabel says to the scientist “…this is like Avatar.” And the scientist frustratingly replies, “This is nothing like Avatar!” This line is funny because this concept if very similar to the Avatar movies which is also owned by The Walt Disney Company.
Mabel is voiced by Piper Curda from the Disney Channel series I Didn’t Do It and A.N.T. Farm. Curda also starred in the Disney Channel original movie Teen Beach 2.
Disney-Pixar Hoppers is directed by Daniel Chong and produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle. The film also features the voice talents of Jon Hamm and Bobby Moynihan.
Disney-Pixar Hoppers arrives in theaters March 6, 2026.
