Disney California Adventure Park’s Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party returns this year on select nights from August 18 through October 31. And this year an all-new Haunted Mansion Street Party will replace the popular Frightfully Fun Parade as the special ticketed events main entertainment.
“Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party” will bring familiar and iconic moments from the Haunted Mansion to the streets of Disney California Adventure Park during each Oogie Boogie Bash event night. The new street party will feature multiple show-stopping moments for Madame Leota to host her spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts, ghostly dancing, and ghoulish delight, inviting event attendees to partake in a ghastly good time that beckons all 999 ghosts.
This change may have something to do with the current expansion of Disney California Adventure Park, specifically the new Coco attraction which is currently under construction directly behind the parade gates at Paradise Gardens Park.
Coco Attraction Coming to Disney California Adventure
The first-ever attraction themed to Disney & Pixar’s Coco is coming to Disney California Adventure Park in Paradise Gardens Park area. Construction has already begun on the attraction predominantly in the backstage area.
The land has been cleared and vertical construction should begin very soon. At this time, a tentative opening date for the new Coco attraction has not been revealed. Disney typically takes at least 2 years to finalize an attraction once construction begins so my estimate for the attraction opening is Summer 2028 (possibly late 2027 but probably not).

It’s seems a little early to start thinking about Halloween but Disney likes to tease new offerings and release Halloween merchandise really early. Disneyland has also announced that Oogie Boogie Bash event tickets will go on sale starting June 16 to Magic Key Inspire holders and June 18 to the General Public.
