Attractions & Experiences
Buckle up, because we’re diving into the galaxy’s coolest attractions and experiences that you absolutely cannot miss. Whether you’re a die-hard Star Wars fan or just looking for an epic adventure, these experiences will transport you light-years away to a galaxy far, far away.
Take the Controls on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Have you ever dreamed of piloting the Millennium Falcon? Well, dream no more! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run puts you in the cockpit of the most famous ship in the galaxy. With multiple roles to play, from pilot to gunner to engineer, each experience is uniquely thrilling. Tip: Aim for the pilot role for the ultimate adrenaline rush. The fate of your mission rests in your hands, so may the Force be with you.
Join the Resistance on Rise of the Resistance
This immersive attraction is a game-changer in theme park entertainment. In Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you will find yourself caught in an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order. From walking through a Resistance base to being captured by a Star Destroyer, the level of detail is mind-blowing in this attraction. Note: This attraction is so popular, securing a spot might feel like a mission itself. Unless you don’t mind waiting in the standy-by queue line for over an hour, plan on purchasing the Lightning Lane Single Pass as soon as you arrive in the park or arrive early and head directly to the attraction at park opening to be one of the first in line.
Build Your Own Lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop
This is no ordinary souvenir – it’s a rite of passage. In a covert workshop, surrounded by ancient artifacts and the Force, you’ll construct your very own lightsaber. Choose your kyber crystal, hilt parts, and craft a lightsaber that’s uniquely yours. It’s an emotional and powerful experience. And yes, it comes with a hefty price tag. The current price for a handbuilt lightsaber is $219.99. But for true fans, it’s worth every penny.
Reservations for Savi’s Workshop can be made up to 60 days in advance of your visit. Walk-ins are limited so reservations are highly recommended.
Build Your Own Droid at Droid Depot
Have you ever wanted your very own BB-8 or R2-D2 droid? At Black Spire Outpost’s Droid Depot, you can assemble your own droid. Pick out parts from a conveyor belt, assemble your droid, and watch it come to life. These aren’t just static models; they interact with elements in Galaxy’s Edge, making your Star Wars experience even more immersive. The current price for a build your own droid is $119.99.
Taste the Galaxy at Oga’s Cantina
After a day of adventure, what’s better than kicking back with a drink at Oga’s Cantina? This watering hole is where bounty hunters and smugglers mingle. The atmosphere is out of this world, complete with Rex as the DJ spining some out of this world tunes. Try the Blue Milk or the Fuzzy Tauntaun, but remember to make reservations early – this spot is as popular as it gets in the galaxy. Reservations are hightly recommended but a walk-up list is available on a limited basis.
Note: Oga’s Cantina has very limited seating and mostly consists of standing room.
Explore the Marketplace for Unique Finds
For shopping enthusiasts, the Marketplace in Galaxy’s Edge offers an array of unique merchandise you won’t find anywhere else on Earth. From custom robes at Black Spire Outfitters to rare artifacts at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, each stall and shop has treasures waiting to be discovered. If you are looking for a piece of the galaxy to remember your visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the Marketplace is where you will find some rare merchandise.
Make Every Minute Count at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Download the Disney App
Before your spaceship lands on the planet of Batuu, download the Disneyland or Walt Disney World App – depending on which Disney Resort you are visiting. The Disney App gives you quick access to wait times, maps and reservations. Navigating Black Spire Outpost on Batuu will be easier when you have the galaxy in the palm of your hands.
Arrive Early
Be the early bird—or should we say, the early Porg? When the theme park gates open, plan on visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge first thing to be one of the first in line for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance? Arriving on Batuu before the large crowds arrive will save you some time with shorter wait times for the attractions.
Plan Your Must-Do Attractions & Experiences
Decide what tops your list before you go. Is piloting the Millennium Falcon a dream of yours? Is building a lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop a must-do? Prioritize your favorites and make reservations in advance for unique experiences. As the day goes on, attraction stand-by lines get very long. And, reservations are recommended for special experiences like building a lightsaber or a droid no matter what time you arrive on the planet.
Reserve Experiences Early
Dreaming of crafting your own droid or lightsaber? Don’t snooze on making reservations. Spots fill up faster than the Kessel Run. Book as early as your ticket allows.
Use the Single Rider Line
Solo adventurers, rejoice! The single rider line is your fast pass to fun. If you’re fine with splitting up your group on rides, the single rider line will cut your wait time significantly. Both Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance offer a single rider line. Check with an attraction Cast Member if you are unsure where to enter the singe rider line.
Immerse Yourself With the Datapad
On the Play Disney Parks Mobile App, access the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Datapad. It turns your visit into an interactive mission. Translate a variety of languages, decrypt communications, interact with devices in the area and so much more by using the Datapad on Play Disney Parks Mobile App.
Plan Meals Wisely
Galaxy’s Edge is full of out-of-this-world quick bites. Grab a Ronto Wrap on the go or sip on a Blue Milk. Try to plan your snacks and meals in advance to make the most of your day.
Catch Star Wars Characters in Action
Keep your eyes peeled for roaming Star Wars characters. Encounter Chewbacca working on the Millennium Falcon or Kylo Ren on patrol. These aren’t scheduled meet and greets, so be ready for surprise interactions that’ll make your visit unforgettable. You might also see Ahsoka Tano, Chopper, Boba Fett, The Mandalorian or General Hera Syndulla. Tip: Some of the Star Wars characters can be found near The Marketplace when they are visiting Batuu.
Shop With a Strategy
Must-have souvenirs? Hit the shops later in the day. In the morning, everyone’s racing to the attractions. Plus by late afternoon, you’re shopping with less competition and more elbow room in The Marketplace. Note: This doesn’t apply to shops on Main Street, U.S.A at Disneyland Park or on Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The shops at the front of the park get very busy as the day goes on and are extremely busy at the end of the day.
Return to Batuu in the Evening
As the sun sets on Batuu, the planet transforms. Lights twinkle, and the atmosphere gets even more immersive. The crowds usually thin out in the evenings, allowing you to have a serene stroll through the Black Spire Outpost. And on select nights, experience Fire of the Rising Moons by catching a different view of the Disneyland Park fireworks nighttime spectacular.
Dining on Batuu
Craving an experience that’s out of this world? Look no further than the dining options in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Whether you’re a daring rebel or a stoic imperial, the eateries here have something to tantalize your taste buds while keeping you fully immersed in the Star Wars universe. On Batuu, you won’t find your typical theme park food. You’ll experience dining options that immerse you into a galaxy far, far away.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
Get ready for a culinary adventure at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Operated by Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs, this interstellar eatery offers a variety of dishes prepared with ingredients from across the galaxy. Try the Fried Chicken Baos or the Shaaken Beef with Tattooine Bounty for an out of this world dining experience.
Ronto Roasters
If you’re in a hurry to join the Resistance or need a quick refuel before flying your next smuggler’s mission, Ronto Roasters is the spot. The Ronto Wrap is a fan favorite, combining roasted pork and grilled sausage with peppercorn sauce and tangy slaw wrapped in a pita. Ronto’s also offers a breakfast wrap during breakfast hours with scrambled eggs, grilled pork sausage, shredded cheddar, peppercorn sauce, wrapped in a pita.
Milk Stand
You can’t visit Galaxy’s Edge without trying the famous Blue or Green Milk. Made from plant-based blends of coconut and rice milk, these frosty beverages are both refreshing and unique. Whether you choose the Blue Milk, a favorite of Luke Skywalker, or the more floral Green Milk, you’re in for a treat that’s as photogenic as it is delicious.
Kat Saka’s Kettle
For those with a sweet tooth, Kat Saka’s Kettle serves up an unforgettable snack option: the Outpost Mix. This mix is a sweet, spicy, and savory popcorn blend that’s perfect for munching as you explore the Black Spire Outpost. It’s a must-try snack that even the pickiest droid would enjoy.
Remember, dining at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge isn’t just about refueling; it’s part of the adventure. Each eatery is themed, providing an immersive experience that adds to your journey through the Star Wars galaxy.
