Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Official Trailer

Today, Disney released the official trailer for the upcoming Disney Channel and Disney+ series Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The new series is a spin-off and sequel to Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place that will center around the Russo family, but this time Justin Russo’s family. Justin is now an adult and married with two children. However, he has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life until his sister Alex pays him a visit and introduces him to a young wizard-in-training named Billie. Justin becomes Billie’s mentor but as usual, things become chaotic in the Russo household just as they did in the orignal series.

The Cast

David Henrie reprises his role as Justin Russo in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. Selena Gomez will guest star as Alex Russo with an appearance in the first episode. Both Selena Gomez and David Henrie are executive producers of the reboot series.

Justin’s wife Giada is played by Mimi Gianopulos. And, their two children are played by Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo and Max Matenko as Milo Russo. Janice LeAnn Brown portrays Billie, the young wizard that Justin mentors.

David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrera will guest star as Justin’s parents Jerry and Theresa Russo. There has been no mention of Jake T. Austin reprising his role as Max Russo. But, hopefully they will at least address Max at some point in the series.

The show was created by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas who also created the sequel to That’s So Raven, Raven’s Home. Andy Fickman directed the pilot episode as well as most of the episodes in the first season.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premieres on the Disney Channel on October 29, 2024 with two episodes. Both episodes will be available to stream on Disney+ the next day. The official trailer is available to watch on Disney+ and on the Disney Plus YouTube Channel.
