Update: 08/11/24
Today, during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, I spoke with one of the Disney Imagineers who is working on the two new attractions coming to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park. I asked him where these two new attractions were going to be located. I knew that the attraction announced a few years ago which is now going to be called “Avengers Infinity Defense” was originally going to be located behind the Avengers Headquarters building. So, I asked if that was still the case and where the second new attraction, “Stark Flight Lab”, would be located. He told me that both attractions including the lands expansion which may include more shopping and dining locations will be located in the space behind the Avengers Headquarters building. He also said that they are ready to start construction so we should see some action over the next few weeks. Since both attractions and the campus expansion will be located behind the Avengers Headquarters building, there should be very little disruption to the current day to day operation of Avengers Campus.
Here are two pictures taken at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event of the ride vehicle for “Avengers Infinity Defense” and a cut-out of King Thanos.
More details on construction and the expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure should be announced over the next few weeks.

The size of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort will double in size with not one but TWO brand new attractions where guests will suit up and fight alongside some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Avengers Infinity Defense
Get ready for a multi-world adventure experience with Avengers Infinity Defense. Technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere. Recruits will travel to iconic locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City alongside the likes of big, and small, heroes. You also just might find yourself face-to-face with King Thanos, too.
Stark Flight Lab
If you’re up a mission, Tony Stark has one for you. And you know Tony, he always wants to try something new and exciting, and it’s going to make you feel like a Super Hero yourself. With the just announced Stark Flight Lab, you’re going to sit in two-person pods and deploy to a test station. Then a robot arm grabs your pod and starts whirling you around in a simulated flight.
And, a familiar face will join you at the Stark Flight Lab — Mr. Stark himself. Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as Tony Stark for the attraction.
Construction on the expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will begin next year.
Stay tuned for more, Mouseketeers!
