And when D23 hosts its annual holiday event on the studios lot, they add even more twinkling lights, festive decor, music, seasonal treats, and Disney characters in festive holiday attire. Here’s a few highlights of what you can expect if you attend A Jolly Holiday with D23 on the Walt Disney Studios Lot.
Disney Characters

Mickey and Minnie Mouse rotate throughout the night meeting D23 members and guests in front of The Walt Disney Studios Lot Christmas tree. In past years, Mickey wore a holiday sweater with an iconic “M” embroidered on the front while Minnie wore a flashy holiday dress.

Donald and Daisy Duck also rotate throughout the night with a backdrop featuring the Disney Animation building and the Studios Lot water tower.
Last year, Pluto was dressed with his reindeer antlers and greeted guests throughout the night in front of a beautiful snow fall backdrop. Chip n’ Dale rotated throughout the night with Pluto greeting guests with their “nutty”, but adorably cute charm. Both Chip & Dale wore a cute and festive gingerbread cookie themed sweater.

Santa Goofy will most likely return again this year. Last year, he was stationed along one of the studio lots avenues greeting guests in front of a backdrop featuring a beautiful snowfall on the lot. In previous years, he has been in other locations.
Other Disney characters have attend the D23 holiday party in past years including Jack and Sally from Disney & Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Character meet-and-greets are usually not announced until the night of the event.
