This past week, The Walt Disney Company announced theatrical release dates for a few upcoming films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. The Walt Disney Company also owns 20th Century Fox so there are quite a few films scheduled to be released by the Company over the next 3-4 years. Actually, there are at least 25 films scheduled for theatrical release over the next 3-4 years from The Walt Disney Company and I have listed them below along with trailer videos for the next six films.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
The next theatrical release from The Walt Disney Company is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes distributed by 20th Century Studios. The film will hit theaters on May 10, 2024.
Inside Out 2
Then, on June 14, 2024, the sequel to the 2015 Disney-Pixar film Inside Out will land in theaters. Inside Out 2 will be distrusted by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and will introduce new emotions including Anxiety. Watch the trailer below to see Riley’s newest emotion.
Deadpool and Wolverine
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will reprise their roles as Deadpool and Wolverine in the next Marvel Studios film. Deadpool and Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
Alien: Romulus
Alien: Romulus is a 20th Century Studios movie scheduled to be released August 16, 2024.
Moana 2
During the Disney Shareholders Meeting on April 3, 2024, Bob Iger announced that Moana 2 will be released in theaters on November 27, 2024. The sequel to the 2016 film will take Moana on a new and dangerous adventure into the far seas of Oceania. Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson will return as the voice of Moana and Maui in the anticipated sequel.
Elio
The Disney-Pixar film Elio was originally scheduled for a theatrical release in 2024 but was pushed back to June 13, 2025. Here is the teaser trailer that was released by Pixar about 9 months ago when the film was scheduled for a Spring 2024 release.
