The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors declared today that a cash dividend of $0.30 per share will be issued on January 10, 2024 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 11, 2023.

Mark Parker, Chairman of the Board for The Walt Disney Company, made the following statement:

“This has been a year of important progress for The Walt Disney Company, defined by a strategic restructuring and a renewed focus on long-term growth. As Disney moves forward with its key strategic objectives, we are pleased to declare a dividend for our shareholders while we continue to invest in the company’s future and prioritize meaningful value creation.”

In 2020, The Walt Disney Company suspended dividends due to the COVID-19 pandemic after the Disney Parks were closed and most other income sources were shut down like movie theaters and production studios. Since then, the company has not issued a dividend to shareholders. The last dividend issued by the company was in January 2020 when an $0.88 per share semi-annual dividend for FY2019 was issued to shareholders.
