Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and the Muppet gang are returning to the Muppet Theatre for an all-new The Muppet Show special coming to Disney+ in 2026.
This all-new special from The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures will feature Sabrina Carpenter as the special guest star. Fans can expect the special variety show to be filled with music, comedy, and plenty of chaos.
When Disney+ made the announcement, they did not state that The Muppet Show series would be returning for a regular series but if this “triumphant event” special is popular enough, that could be a possibility. Or at least lead the way to more The Muppet Show specials.
The Muppet Show special will air on Disney+ in 2026 (no specific date has been announced at this time).
