The Lion King is celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary this year. And, every celebration deserves a new merchandise collection! Today, The Lion King 30th Anniversary Collection arrived at Disney Parks & Disneystore.com. The collection includes apparel, pins, collectibles and more. But, “Be Prepared” for sensational merchandise that will fill your shopping cart on Disneystore.com and your shopping bag at Disney Parks.
On June 24, 1994, The Lion King was released in theaters introducing audiences to new lovable Disney characters such as Simba, Nala, Zazu, Timon and Pumbaa, just to name a few. The movie introduced audiences to a soundtrack filled with new Disney classic hits including “The Circle of Life” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”, written and composed by Elton John and Tim Rice.
The Lion King 30th Anniversary Pins
Several new Limited Edition pins and a Limited Release Mystery Blind Box Box pin set are part of The Lion King 30th Anniversary collection. Currently, only two of the items are available are Disneystore.com, but others are available in Disney Parks.
First, this Limited Edition pin features Simba lounging in a hammock of vines. This 30th Anniversary pin is limited to 2,850 pieces and is exclusive to Disney Store. The pin comes on a commemorative Disney Pins Limited Edition card. Retail price is $19.99.
Build your own Pride Rock with The Lion King 30th Anniversary Mystery Pin Blind Box set. Each blind box contains two randomly selected pins from a possibility of 10 different designs. When you collection all 10 different pin designs, put them together to form a Pride Rock silhouette. The characters featured on the pins include Mufasa, Simba, Nala, Scar, Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed. This is a Limited Release mystery blind box set that is available on Disneystore.com as well as merchandise locations at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Retail price is $29.99.

The anniversary collection includes a few cute plush toys. There is a Timon 15″ plush, a Pumbaa 15″ plush (each sold separately) and a Simba and Nala Plush Set (not pictured). The Timon plush is $22.99 and the Pumbaa plush is $26.99. The Simba and Nala Plush Set is $39.99.
The anniversary collection also includes several collectibles. One item is this The Lion King 30th Anniversary Musical Figurine which plays “Hakuna Matata” (music only). The figurine features young Simba, Timon and Pumbaa with intricate detailing. Retail price is $129.99.

While most of The Lion King 30th Anniversary collection of merchandise is available on Disneystore.com, there are several other items from the collection available at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort merchandise location. Only the The Lion King 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Pin (pictured above) is exclusive to Disney Store. All of the other items pictured on Disneystore.com should be available at most Disney Parks larger merchandise locations like World of Disney and the Emporium.
Are you a fan of The Lion King? It was one of the most popular Disney animated films in the 1990’s with Academy Award winning songs.
Today, the film is celebrated at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park with a larger-than-life stage show, “Festival of the Lion King”. The show is filled with songs, pageantry and puppetry. And, “Tale of the Lion King” was performed at Disneyland park Fantasyland Theatre over the last two years but recently took it’s final bow on January 7, 2024.
