About the artist: Ximena Romero

Ximena Romero was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, to a Puerto Rican mother and an Ecuadorian father. She grew-up in a Disney-loving household, where family vacations would include trips to Walt Disney World, creating some of her most treasured memories. She and her family always loved watching Disney movies and bonding over the magical stories. This love for Disney also shaped her artistic voice. From a young age, Ximena had a passion for creativity and explored crafting, painting ceramics, and making things by hand. As a teenager, she began focusing on design more intentionally – a creative spark that would lead her to study graphic design. Continuing to follow her passions, Ximena landed a role at Disney, the beginning of her dreams coming true. She started her journey at the company in 2012 as a Disney Design Group intern and is now a senior packaging designer.
