The galaxy’s favorite duo is coming to Disney+ at lightspeed. After premiering in theaters on May 22, 2026, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is now headed to Disney+ on September 2, 2026.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu stars Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin / The Mandalorian, Sigourney Weaver as Ward, Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt and Jonny Coyne as Imperial Warlord. The film is a continuation of the very popular Disney+ television series The Mandalorian which first aired from 2019–2023. The series introduced the loveable Grogu in the first episode of season one. All three seasons of The Mandalorian series are available to stream at any time on Disney+.
The film takes place after the Empire had fallen. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is directed by Jon Favreau and co-written by Favreau and Dave Filoni.
