Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! I love starting my day with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns (or some sort of breakfast potatoes) and toast or a muffin. And when I am at the Disneyland Resort, I have a few great places where I love to eat breakfast in the mornings. So, I am going to list all of the restaurants at the Disneyland Resort that serve breakfast and let you know if I have eaten at the restaurant for breakfast and what I recommend.
Disneyland Park
Disneyland Park has quite a few options for breakfast in the park. The park offers quick services and table service options and I’ll let you know which are my favorite. Plus I will let you know what each location serves for breakfast so you can find a location that works best for your cravings and budget.
Carnation Cafe
Carnation Cafe has been one of my favorite dining locations in Disneyland Park ever since I can remember. What better way to start your day than having breakfast on Main Street USA while watching guests stroll up and down the street.
This is a table service restaurant that offers reservations but reservations are really hard to obtain. If you can plan your visit far enough in advance, you can usually snag a reservation as soon as they become available for the date that you are looking for. However, reservations for Carnation Cafe get booked really fast so sometimes they can be almost impossible to get. The location does offer a stand-by walk up option depending on how busy the location is at the time. In most cases, you can use the Disneyland App to “Join Walk-Up List” without having to go to the location to join a stand-by list. But, you must be in the park and near the location to “Join Walk-Up List” on the app. Once you do join the list, you will be notified in the app when your table is ready.
I love the food at Carnation Cafe for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The location offers Walt’s Chili Cheese Omelet, a Mickey-shaped Waffle, Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Skillet and Buttermilk Pancakes as it’s main menu items. The prices range from $14 to $18 with the Breakfast Sandwich being the least expensive and the Omelet and Skillet being the most expensive. Carnation Cafe also offers a Kids Menu with Pancakes, Mickey-shaped Waffles, and Mickey-shaped Scrambled Eggs all for $9 each.
My favorite menu item at Carnation Cafe for breakfast is the Breakfast Skillet. The skillet includes Two Three-Cheese Mickey-Shaped Eggs, Breakfast Potatoes, Chopped Applewood Smoked Bacon, Sliced Sausage and Shredded Cheese with a Fresh Tomato Garnish. The skillet is very delicious and very filling. But it is pretty pricey at $18! Magic Key holders do receive a dining discount so let your server know you are a Magic Key holder when you order.
This is my favorite place to eat breakfast at Disneyland Park but it is usually not a regular dining option for me only because of the price and the difficulty in getting a reservation or availability of the stand-by list in the mornings. Galactic Grill
Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland used to be my favorite quick service restaurant at Disneyland Park for breakfast but most recently, Galactic Grill has become my favorite. Why? They have an American Breakfast Burrito which is a flour tortilla with egg, bacon, sausage, hash browns and cheese that tastes delicious. Of course, the tortilla is filled with all of my breakfast favorites so that is probably why I love it so much. However, I usually order a side of sausage and mix it with the burrito for more of a breakfast sausage taste.
Other menu items include a Breakfast Bagel Sandwich, Galactic Sunrise Funnel Cake Fries and a Soy Chorizo Country Breakfast Burrito plant based option. These entrees range in price from $8.49 to $10.99. Sides include seasonal fruit, sausage, bacon, seasoned breakfast potatoes or a hash brown. Sides range in price from $3.19 to $5.29 each.
Galactic Grill offers two different Kids Meal options. The first is a Breakfast Slider which is an egg and turkey bacon on a slider bun served with a choice of a small lowfat milk or small DASANI® water for $8.49. The second option is a POWER Pack which is a yogurt smoothie, a Cuties® mandarin orange, carrots and whole-grain fish crackers served with a choice of a small lowfat milk or small DASANI® water for $6.49. To view Galactic Grill’s full menu on the Disneyland website, click here.
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe
While the Market House is the number one spot for Starbucks coffee at Disneyland Park, another quick service dining location that serves coffee and espresso drinks (not Starbucks branded) is the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. You can also pick up an Egg Bacon Croissant or a Bacon & Egg Croissant if you want a quick bite to eat. Jolly Holiday also offers several sweets for breakfast like a cinnamon roll, a variety of muffins, cookies and plain croissants. The breakfast croissants range from $8.99 to $10.99 while the sweets vary in price from $4.19 to $5.99.
To view the entire Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe breakfast menu on the Disneyland website, click here.
Market House
If you are a Starbucks coffee drinker and don’t mind waiting in a long line at the only Disneyland Park location that sells Starbucks coffees and drinks, you might also want to pick up a breakfast sandwich or wrap to go along with your espresso or coffee. Market House offers a few different sandwiches with sausage or bacon and egg, breakfast wraps, a Ham & Swiss Croissant and a Roasted Tomato and Mozzarella Panini. They also have assorted pastries, bagels and cookies if that is your breakfast choice. Sandwich and wrap prices range from $4.99 to $6.19. To view the full breakfast menu for the Market House on the Disneyland website, click here.
Plaza Inn
If you want to have breakfast with Disney Characters inside Disneyland Park, then Plaza Inn is the restaurant for you. Plaza Inn offers a buffet style all-you-care-to-eat breakfast while the Disney Characters visit your table for pictures and autographs. The buffet options include made-to-order omelets, Mickey-shaped waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, fresh-baked pastries and breads, fruit, and assorted cereals.
Minnie Mouse is the host of this breakfast in the park along with a few of her friends. The usual characters at this location are Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, but characters are subject to change. Minnie is the only guaranteed character at the location for breakfast – after all the breakfast is called “Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park”.
Be prepared to spend a hefty amount of money if you choose Plaza Inn for breakfast. The price is $46 per adult and $27 per child (3-9) plus tax and gratuity. So a family of 4 (two adults and two children) can expect to spend $146 for breakfast before tax and gratuity. Magic Key holders receive a 10% to 15% discount depending on your pass type.
Oga’s Cantina
Want to dine with a Star Wars atmosphere? Then, Oga’s Cantina may be the place for you.
The location doesn’t offer a lot of food options for breakfast since this is a cantina after all, but they do have a few items listed on their menu as “snacks” such as Millaflower Toast, Reythan Crackers and Moss Mousse, Garlic-Cheese Five Blossom Bread with Spicy Cheese Sauce, Oga’s Obsession and Batuu Wilds Bounty. Prices range from $8 to $18 per item. And since these names don’t really tell you what you are getting, here’s a link to Oga’s Cantina menu on the Disneyland website.
I have never dined at Oga’s Cantina for breakfast. As I wrote earlier, I prefer eggs, meat and potatoes for breakfast and this is not something that Oga’s offers on their menu.
Red Rose Taverne
Red Rose Taverne is located in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park and it is probably the most popular quick-service place to have breakfast in the park. This location is always busy for all three meals but breakfast is definitely a popular choice even though the restaurant only offers three different breakfast options. Breakfast menu items include a Gourmet Breakfast Sandwich, Royal Chiffon Pancake and a Bonjour! Breakfast bowl. Prices range from $9.49 and $10.99 and there isn’t a separate Kids menu.
My menu choice for breakfast at Red Rose Taverne is always the Bonjour! Breakfast bowl. I reviewed the breakfast bowl in a previous blog post. Click here to read my review.

Disney California Adventure Park
While Disneyland Park has quite a few options for breakfast, Disney California Adventure Park is very limited on breakfast options. Before the pandemic, Flo’s V8 Cafe served breakfast but once Avengers Campus opened, they stopped serving breakfast at Flo’s and so I stopped eating breakfast at Disney California Adventure Park because of the the breakfast choices.
Let’s take a look at the limited breakfast food choices at Disney California Adventure Park.
Cappuccino Cart
While the Cappuccino Cart mostly serves espresso drinks (hence the name of the cart), they do have a Steak and Egg Breakfast Burrito for $11. The cart also sells croissants and cookies if you prefer a lite sweet snack for breakfast. To view the Cappuccino Carts menu on the Disneyland website, click here.
Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe
Just like the Market House in Disneyland Park, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe is the “go to” spot for Starbucks coffee drinkers and they also serve a few breakfast sandwiches and wraps. Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe offers the same menu items as the Market House including breakfast sandwiches with sausage or bacon and egg, breakfast wraps, a Ham & Swiss Croissant and a Roasted Tomato and Mozzarella Panini. They also have assorted pastries, bagels and cookies if that is your breakfast choice. Sandwich and wrap prices range from $4.99 to $6.19. To view the full breakfast menu for Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe on the Disneyland website, click here.
Pym Test Kitchen
Pym Test Kitchen in Avengers Campus is really the only dining location in the park that serves a basic breakfast, which is not really the normal basic breakfast. This quick service dining location limited breakfast options include “Calculated Breakfast = E x 2 + (B+P)/T”, “Cinna-Pym Toast 2.0” and “Impossible™ Quantum Garden Breakfast”. While the locations menu sticks to the theming of the restaurant, it is not the best in the world (in my opinion). Prices range from $10.99 to $12.99 which is pretty expensive for what you get. Pym Test Kitchen has two Kids Menu options: “Nano Eggs-periment 101” and “Full-Grown French Toast Sticks” for $8.49 each. If you want to pay for the atmosphere, then Pym Test Kitchen might be the breakfast location for you. To view Pym Test Kitchen’s breakfast menu on the Disneyland website, click here.
Smokejumpers Grill
This past December, Smokejumpers Grill started serving breakfast at Disney California Adventure Park which was a much welcomed addition to the breakfast choices in the park. They have an Classic Breakfast Burrito which is a flour tortilla with egg, bacon, sausage, hash browns and cheddar cheese similar to the American Breakfast Burrito that Galactic Grill serves at Disneyland Park.
The location has three entrees on the breakfast menu including a plant-based option, two kids meal options, and a few sides. The entrees include a Breakfast Sandwich, the Classic Breakfast Burrito (mentioned above) and a Chorizo Burrito plant-based option. Each entree is served with Cuties® Mandarin Oranges or Breakfast Seasoned Fries. The entree prices range in price from $13.49 to $13.99.
Kids meal breakfast menu options at Smokejumpers Grill include a Breakfast Slider which is egg and bacon on a cheddar cheese slider bun served with a choice of a Cuties® Mandarin Orange or Breakfast Seasoned Fries with a choice of a small lowfat milk or small DASANI® water for $8.49. The second option is a Kids’ POWER Pack which includes Cuties® Mandarin Orange, Yogurt Smoothie, Carrots and Whole-Grain “Fish” Crackers served with choice of a small DASANI® Water or small Lowfat Milk for $6.49.
Side items on the menu include bacon, a sausage patty, breakfast seasoned fries, hash browns, fried egg and molcajete salsa. Side item prices vary from $1.39 to $4.79 with the salsa being the least expensive and the breakfast seasoned fries being the most expensive side item. There are also a few breakfast drinks on Smokejumpers Grill menu including a Breakfast Cold Brew which is a non-alcoholic Chocolate Cold Brew with Toasted Marshmallow Foam and Cocoa Crisped Rice Cereal for $6.79.

Disneyland Hotel
Interesting enough, Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian Hotel have more options for breakfast than Disney California Adventure Park. First, let’s take a look at the different breakfast locations at the Disneyland Hotel. Please note that In-Room Dining is available at all three Disneyland Resort Hotels but I am only covering the dining locations in this post.
Goofy’s Kitchen
Goofy’s Kitchen offers a fun-filled breakfast with some of your favorite Disney characters. Goofy hosts the buffet style all-you-care-to-eat dining experience along with several of his character friends. The breakfast selections include a create-your-own omelet station, Mickey Mouse Waffles, Mickey Mouse Pancakes, breakfast meats, pastries, muffins and Goofy’s Famous Peanut Butter Pizza.
As with any Disney character dining experience, Goofy’s Kitchen is pretty pricey. The price is $52 per adult and $31 per child (3-9) plus tax and gratuity. For a family of 4 (two adults and two children) you can expect to spend $166 for breakfast before tax and gratuity. While the food is really good and the characters are fun to meet during breakfast, the price sometimes outweighs the experience. But if you do experience Goofy’s Kitchen, you will receive a commemorative button to remember your breakfast experience. Magic Key holders receive a 10% to 15% discount depending on your pass type so that helps a little with the price.
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill
The quick service dining location at the Disneyland Hotel is the Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast selections include an American Breakfast, Thick & Fluffy Japanese Pancakes, Tangaroa Toast, Short Rib Steak and Eggs, Loco Moco Burrito, Avocado Toast and a Chia Breakfast Bowl. Prices range from $12 to $21 with the Chia Breakfast Bowl being $14 and the Short Rib Steak and Eggs being $21. The other entrees are around $15 each.
When staying at the Disneyland Hotel, this is my favorite place to eat. The location offers a nice tropical atmosphere with seats that look out over the hotel pool. Plus you can refill most soft drink beverages while you’re dining without an additional charge. It is a convenient and enjoyable place to eat breakfast before heading to one of the Disneyland theme parks for the day. To view the Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill breakfast menu on the Disneyland website, click here.
The Coffee House
The Disneyland Hotel Coffee House doesn’t really offer a large selection of breakfast foods but you can pick up an assortment of snack items like a bagel or pastry to go along with your coffee or espresso drink. To view The Coffee House all-day menu (open from 6am to 4pm), click here.
Grand Californian Hotel
Like the Disneyland Hotel, the Grand Californian Hotel has a few different dining options for breakfast including two different character breakfasts, a quick-service option and more. Please note that In-Room Dining is available at the Grand Californian Hotel but I am only covering actual dining locations in this post. Let’s take a look at the different breakfast locations at the hotel.
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures
If you want an unforgettable 3-course breakfast and a chance to meet some of your favorite Disney Princesses, the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose might be for you. Of course, be prepared to pay a hefty price to be treated like a prince or a princess at this royal feast. The price is $135 per person but includes a feast fit for a king. Start with a 3-tier tower of appetizers, which may include coconut cookies & cream chia parfait, Chef Louie’s Mini Lobster Roll, Tiana’s Famous Beignets, Princess Jasmine’s Banana Wrap and Pocahontas Ah-maize-ing Cornbread. The Main Course includes a choose of chicken and Mickey waffles or house-made mac & cheese and bacon for kids and several delectable menu options for adults. And for desert, select from such treats as Ariel’s Dingle Hopper Vanilla Cake Pops, Pocahontas Colors of the Wind Sorbet, Princess Aurora Chocolate Cream Puffs and Tiana’s Pistachio Macarons. To learn more about Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, click here to visit the Disneyland website.
GCH Craftsman Grill
The quick service dining location at the Grand Californian Hotel is the GCH Craftsman Grill which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast selections include an American Breakfast, Belgian Waffle, Brioche French Toast, a Breakfast Sandwich, Egg White Omelet, Breakfast Burrito, Avocado Toast on Sourdough and a Smoked Salmon Bagel Sandwich. Prices range from $16 to $20. Kids menu options include a Breakfast Plate with scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and potato bites with choice of seasonal fruit or lowfat yogurt, a Kids’ Power Pack with a Cuties® mandarin orange, a yogurt smoothie, carrots and whole-grain “fish” crackers and a Kid’s Mickey-shaped Waffle. All three Kids menu items include a choice of small lowfat milk or small Dasani® water. Kids menu items range in price from $7 to $9.
When staying at the Grand Californian Hotel, this is my favorite place to eat. The location offers a nice atmosphere with seats inside and outside near the pool. Plus you can refill most soft drink beverages while you’re dining without an additional charge. It is a convenient and enjoyable place to eat breakfast before heading to one of the Disneyland theme parks for the day. It is also a nice place to take a break from the theme parks during the day without having to walk to far since the Grand Californian Hotel is located adjacent to Disney California Adventure Park. To view the entire GCH Craftsman Grill breakfast menu on the Disneyland website, click here.
GCH Craftsman Bar
If you prefer table service for breakfast, the GCH Craftsman Bar is a casual dining location located beside the Grand Californian Hotel pool (also right beside GCH Craftsman Grill). This table service location basically has all of the same menu items and prices as the GCH Craftsman Grill but with the convenience of table service. To view the GCH Craftsman Bar breakfast menu on the Disneyland website, click here.
Storytellers Cafe
The Storytellers Cafe offers a buffet style character breakfast with Mickey Mouse and some of his closest pals. This buffet style all-you-care-to-eat dining experience includes a create-your-own omelet station, Mickey Mouse Waffles, breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, pastries, muffins and more.
Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet is $52 per adult and $31 per child (3-9) plus tax and gratuity. Like Goofy’s Kitchen, a family of 4 (two adults and two children) can expect to spend $166 for breakfast before tax and gratuity. Each guest will receive a commemorative button to remember the breakfast experience. Magic Key holders receive a 10% to 15% discount depending on your pass type so that helps a little with the price.
Paradise Pier Hotel
(soon to be renamed Pixar Place Hotel starting January 30, 2024)
Currently, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel only has one option for breakfast but that may change in the future since the hotel is currently transforming to the Pixar Place Hotel.
Great Maple Modern American Eatery
This third party operated restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Paradise Pier Hotel and offers an all-day breakfast. Breakfast options include Buttermilk Pancakes, Smoked Bacon Scramble, French Toast Logs and Fried Chicken & Doughnuts, just to name a few. The location also offers a Modern American Breakfast for those who prefer the standard eggs, bacon and sausage, like me.
Prices for Great Maple Modern American Eatery are not published on the Disneyland website but you can view their entire breakfast menu by clicking here.
Downtown Disney
If you are not staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel or looking for a breakfast option at the Disneyland Resort before entering the theme parks, Downtown Disney has a few locations that offer breakfast.
Earl of Sandwich
Earl of Sandwich is currently located in the old La Brea building and is the closest Downtown Disney restaurant near the theme parks. However, Earl of Sandwich has moved around a lot over the last few years and they will be moving again soon. The location will be temporarily relocating to a food truck type location in front of the old ESPN building until their new brick and mortar location is built near the Downtown Disney stage on the west end. The location offers a quick service option for breakfast with several different breakfast sandwiches. Prices range from $5.99 and $6.49 and there isn’t a separate Kids menu.
Until they move, Earl of Sandwich Tavern offers a sit down table service option for those looking for a little more than just a breakfast sandwich. Breakfast entree options include a Breakfast Slam, Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes, Avocado Toast and more. Prices range from $17.00 and $19.00 per entree and there isn’t a separate Kids menu. I haven’t tried breakfast at Earl of Sandwich Tavern yet, but if it is anything like the breakfast that La Brea served (and according to the menu, it’s sounds like the same items), it is definitely worth trying. To view the full Earl of Sandwich Tavern breakfast menu, click here.
Tortilla Jo’s
Tortilla Jo’s offers a sit down table service south-of-the-border style breakfast. Menu options include a Breakfast Skillet, Breakfast Burrito, Belgian Waffles and more. The location does have three options on it’s kids menu which include an American Breakfast, Breakfast Burrito and Pancakes. To view the entire breakfast menu at Tortilla Jo’s, click here. The location does not publish prices on the online menu.
Taqueria at Tortilla Jo’s
Taqueria at Tortilla Jo’s offers a quick service south-of-the-border style breakfast. Menu options include a Breakfast Bowl, Breakfast Burrito with or without extras and Chilaquiles. The location also has a kids breakfast on it’s menu which is a Scrambled Egg and Cheese Burrito or Cheese Quesadilla with a Fresh Fruit cup and Juice or Milk or Soft Drink. To view the entire breakfast menu at Taqueria at Tortilla Jo’s, click here. The location does not publish prices on the online menu.
A few other locations at Downtown Disney offer pastries and drinks during breakfast hours like Starbucks. To view all of the dining options at Downtown Disney (most of which are not open during breakfast hours), visit the Disneyland website or use the Disneyland App.
That’s a Wrap!
Wow! That is a lot of locations for breakfast at the Disneyland Resort! I have eaten at a lot of these locations for breakfast but not all of them, yet! I hope to try eating breakfast at all of these locations in 2024 and post a review of each location including the one’s I’ve reviewed before.
What is your favorite quick service and/or table service place to eat breakfast at the Disneyland Resort. My current favorites are Carnation Cafe, Red Rose Tavern and Galactic Grill which are all at Disneyland Park. But I also like another option which is located just off Disney property on Harbor – but I’ll save that one for a different blog post in the near future.
I would love to hear from you and hear about your breakfast and dining experiences at the Disneyland Resort. Send me a message!
I’ll “See ya real soon” Mouseketeers!
