DisneylandForward

The City of Anaheim has released a Fact Sheet about the DisneylandForward project which contains concept art for a potential parking structure on the Eastern side of the Disneyland Resort. Please note that this is only concept art and the project has not yet been approved. Disneyland and the City of Anaheim are in the process of reviewing the zoning of the resort and if the proposed rezoning is approved, Disneyland could potentially build a similar parking structure on the property east of Harbor Boulevard along Manchester Avenue.

Potential New Parking Structure for the Disneyland Resort

Eastern Parking Structure

In the facts sheet, the Eastern Parking Structure project would not only include a parking structure but also a transportation center and up to three foot bridges over Harbor Boulevard and up to two foot bridges over Disneyland Drive. The project would also include the widening of Katella Avenue west and east of Harbor Boulevard, intersection improvements on Harbor Boulevard from Disney Way to Orangewood Avenue and at Anaheim Boulevard and Katella Avenue, a crosswalk signal at Walnut Street and Magic Way, bike paths along Walnut Street, Disney Way and Clementine Street , bike lanes along Ball Road and Haster Street and bike parking as part of the new parking structure on the east side of Harbor Boulevard.

The parking structure is not the only details in this new fact sheet that was released, but it is the newest concept art revealed to the public. And I personally believe that if the proposed rezoning for the DisneylandForward project is approved, the Eastern Parking Structure project will be a priority for the Disneyland Resort because building the new parking structure will then free of other land around the property for potential theme park expansion.

And if you are unfamiliar with the DisneylandForward project, KTLA recently did a news segment on the project.

Are you excited to see what Disney might do if the rezoning is approved? I am super excited and I keep watching this project for more updates. I would love for the Disneyland Resort to expand with more attractions, shopping, hotels and entertainment (plus parking which would definitely be needed). Let me know your thoughts. I would love to hear from you so please send me a message.
