Today, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel was officially renamed Pixar Place Hotel. The hotel is the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States and the world. The hotel decor is inspired by Pixar films from Toy Story to Elemental. Here’s what you can expect when visiting the resort hotel.

Hotel Lobby & Rooms

When you enter the hotel lobby, you are greeted by the iconic Pixar Lamp balancing atop its ball along with unique art inspired by Pixar films. Look up and you will see an imaginative mobile of beloved Pixar characters floating from the bright skylight above. The mobile depicts the beginning stages of Pixar filmmaking, when animators create the characters’ designs with their most basic shapes and colors.

Also in the hotel lobby, you may see live entertainment as Joe Gardner from Disney-Pixar’s Soul plays jazz on a grand piano. Showtimes are not yet listed but as soon as they are, I will let you know.

Then, when you enter your guest room, you will be immersed in Pixar Animation from the pillows inspired by the Pixar Ball to lighting reminiscent of the Pixar Lamp. There are whimsical nods to the iconic animation studio throughout these comfortable and contemporary rooms. Some of the art that hangs on the walls in guest rooms was created by Pixar Animation Studios artists especially for Pixar Place Hotel. The bed headboards consist of concept art from a variety of Pixar films including “The Incredibles,” “Toy Story 3” and more.
