Today, Walt Disney Animated Studios released a new teaser trailer for Moana 2 that will sail into movie theaters on November 27, 2024.
Moana 2 takes place three years after the original Disney animated film. In the teaser trailer, Moana hears a call from her wayfinding ancestors which takes her on a journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson return as the voices of Moana and demigod Maui in Walt Disney Animated Studios’ all new animated film. The teaser trailer features Moana, Maui, Hei Hei, Pua, Moana’s parents and the residents of the island of Motunui.
Moana 2 is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller. The film is produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino. Moana 2 features music by Grammy winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.
