New Menu for Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree

I recently told you that the Country Bears are making a come back and returning to the Disneyland Resort to take over the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country (soon to be renamed Bayou Country). When the Bears take over, they are renaming the restaurant Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and creating an all-new menu.

After touring from coast to coast performing their foot-stompin’ tunes, Henry, Wendell, Big Al, and the rest of the Country Bears have put together an all-new menu with some of their favorite regional barbecue dishes they discovered during their tour. According to the Bears, one of the dishes they will be serving is a mouthwatering Smoked Barbecue Combo Platter with a selection of house-smoked meats. Plus while you dine at the newly renamed Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, you can enjoy some of the Country Bears’ greatest hits!

Here’s a look at the all-new menu for Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree.

Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree Entrées

Smoked Barbecue Combo Platter: A selection of house-smoked meats, served with baked beans, house slaw, white bread, and pickles with a choice of two of the following: Pork Spareribs, Pulled Pork, Sausage Link, or Beef Brisket
Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwich: Tangy BBQ sauce, house slaw, bread and butter, and pickles served with beer-battered fries
Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich with tangy BBQ sauce, pickled red onions, and pickled jalapeños served with beer-battered fries

Smoked Angus Beef Burger and Pulled Pork with American cheese, golden aïoli, pickled red onions, bread and butter pickles, and crispy onions served with beer-battered fries

Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree New Entrees

Corn Ribs Plate: Chile-lime aioli, parmesan, crispy onions, cilantro, and scallions with house slaw and beer-battered fries (Plant-based menu option)
Loaded Fries topped with smoked pulled pork, queso sauce, pickled red onions, and pickled jalapeños, cilantro, and scallions

Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree Beer-battered Fries

Sides

One of the new sides at the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree will be Beer-battered Fries. These are crispy, fried and delicious French fries that are battered on the outside with a great tempura like coating and fluffy on the inside. Here are the sides that will be available at the restaurant:

All kids’ meals are served with Cuties Mandarin Orange and Applesauce and a choice of small DASANI Water or small Low-fat milk. Here are the kids’ meal options:

Banana Pudding: Bananas, whipped cream, crushed wafer cookies, dulce de leche, and toffee

Sparkling Strawberry-Pickle Lemonade: Simply Lemonade, Minute Maid Strawberry Smoothie, flavors of lime, Sprite, pickle juice and a pickle spear (Non-alcoholic)

An opening date for the newly reimagined Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree has not been announced yet but all of Bayou Country will be reopening this holiday season on November 15, 2024 so the restaurant should open then, if not before.
