To celebrate seven decades of the Disneyland Resort, “it’s a small world” will have some all-new magic when the attraction reopens on April 25, 2025 at Disneyland Park. The attraction is currently closed for refurbishment while it is transformed from “it’s a small world” Holiday to the regular version of the attraction. But the refurbishment is not all that is going on behind those refurb walls!
Today, Disneyland announced new magic that is coming to “it’s a small world” to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the resort. In the Mexico themed area of the attraction, Miguel and Dante from Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco will join the other children and dolls in the attraction. The two beloved characters will be silhouetted by a stunning marigold bridge to make the new addition stand out.

Based on the concept art released by Disney/Pixar, Miguel will be wearing his mariachi outfit that he wore at the end of the Disney-Pixar movie. And his pal Dante will be in alebrije form. Disney stated that the two characters will be silhouetted by a stunning marigold bridge which is not shown in the concept art but I expect to be similar to the parade float that was used in Magic Happens, a Disneyland Park parade (not currently running).
