During Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced that a new attraction based on Walt Disney Animation Studios film The Lion King will be coming to Disney Adventure World at the Disneyland Paris Resort. And according to Josh, it will be an adventure like never before!
Disney Adventure World is Disneyland Paris’ second park that was formerly named Walt Disney Studios Park. The Lion King attraction and area will be another addition to a long list of new attractions and lands being added to the Paris theme park.
A new area of the park will be dedicated to the characters and stories from the The Lion King including dining, shopping and chance to meet characters from the film. Guests will enter the attraction through the caverns beneath Pride Rock. Then, guests will step right into the movie as the new attraction brings you alongside Simba’s journey from cub to king.
An opening date for the new Lion King attraction has not been announced yet but we should learn more information over the coming months as Walt Disney Studios Park continues to transform to Disney Adventure World.
