During Destination D23 at the Walt Disney World Resort this weekend, a new Disney Collector Ursula Doll was revealed that is coming soon from the Mattel Creations’ Disney Darkness Descends Series.
The doll features Ursula’s oversized personality from Disney’s 1989 animated classic film The Little Mermaid. Collectors can get their tentacles on this stunning sea witch starting September 8, 2025 at DisneyStore.com and at MattelCreations.com.
Mattel’s Darkness Descends Series
Disney’s Ursula is the newest addition to the Darkness Descends Series, which began with Maleficent in 2023 and continued with Cruella de Vil in 2024. These dazzling divas are displayed in intricately designed boxes and made with premium materials – a true celebration of iconic Disney Villains in their most evil, high-fashion forms.
The Ursula Darkness Descends Series doll stands 13.5″ tall and features seven points of articulation. The doll has six wires in her tentacles which are each 9.5” long allowing for different poses Ursula comes with her iconic crown and a trident in transparent neon green, each of which glows in the dark. A special treat is a Flotsam and Jetsam invisible-ink tattoo that appears on her shoulder under UV light.
The Mattel Creations’ Ursula Doll comes boxed with five LED lights embedded in the box that make Ursula’s design details glow. The doll includes a Certificate of Authenticity and has a retail price of $150.00. The Maleficent and Cruella dolls from the Disney Darkness Descends Series are both still available for purchase at MattelCreations.com.
