Magic Happens Parade Photo Series at Disneyland

This is part five of the Magic Happens parade photo series at Disneyland Park.

The photos from today’s post were taken on July 15, 2023 at the 6:30pm PT parade performance at Disneyland Park.

Some of the photos from this parade were shared on social media last summer so those photos are not included in this post.

Sorcerer Mickey & Friends

Mickey’s entourage of dancers leads each parade dancing to the upbeat parade track composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall. Sorcerer Mickey follows riding on his sorcerer hat float. Sorcerer Mickey is followed by Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Goofy and Donald Duck.

Moana

Mickey & Friends are followed by the Moana segment of the parade that starts with the Ocean Wave dancers.

These dancers are followed by Moana on her wayfinder boat.

Moana is followed by the Kakamora dancers and Demigod Maui. The Kakamora are quite the fun bunch of coconuts.

Coco

The next segment of the parade is the Coco segment. The Marigold Dancers lead this segment of the parade.

They are followed by Miguel Rivera who is on a float with a marigold bridge between the living world and the Land of the Dead as portrayed in the Disney-Pixar film.

The spirit guide Alebrijes Dancers follow Miguel’s float. And Pepita, the main spirit guide from Coco, finishes out the Coco segment of the parade.

Frozen

The next segment of the Magic Happens parade is the Frozen segment. The Enchanted Forest dancers from Frozen II start this segment of the parade. The dancers are followed by Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Olaf and Sven. Kristoff finishes the Frozen segment of the parade. But Elsa leaves behind a snow storm for Kristoff.

Magic Happens Parade Finale

The Magic Happens parade has a long finale segment. The finale segment begins with a group of Disney characters which includes Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Pinocchio, the Blue Fairy, Aladdin, Genie and Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. This group of characters lead the way for flag bearers, three small parade floats and one huge castle float carrying Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip. The flag bearers lead each of the three small parade floats that carry Cinderella, Arthur and Merlin from the Sword in the Stone and Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog.

Cinderella

Cinderella arrives in her transforming pumpkin carriage float.

The Sword in the Stone

Flag bearers lead the way for the future King of England.

And, Merlin from The Sword in the Stone dances for joy as Arthur pulls the sword from the stone.

The Princess and the Frog

Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen are next as they float down the bayou along with royal flag bearers carrying green flags.

Sleeping Beauty

And to finish out the parade, a group of flag dancers wave blue and pink flags before Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip arrive.

Princess Aurora, Prince Phillip and the three fairies: Flora, Fauna and Merryweather complete the Magic Happens parade riding atop a massive castle float.

Magic Happens Parade Photo Series at Disneyland

The Magic Happens parade is currently performed twice daily at 3:00pm and 5:30pm PT. Unfortunately, the Magic Happens parade is scheduled to end it’s 2024 run on August 24, 2024 which is almost two months earlier than last year. After the parade ends on the 24th, a daily cavalcade will run daily for the Halloween season.
