This is part three of the Magic Happens parade at Disneyland Park photo series.
The photos from today’s post were taken on August 7, 2023 from a 3:30pm PT parade performance at Disneyland Park. This was a really hot day so the east side of Main Street USA was practically empty during the parade because no one wanted to watch the parade in the hot sun.
Mickey & Friends
Mickey’s entourage of dancers lead the parade dancing to the upbeat parade track composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall. These dancers lead the way for Sorcerer Mickey who rides atop a giant sorcerer hat float. Sorcerer Mickey is followed by Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Dale and more.
Moana
Today’s photos from the Moana segment start with the Ocean Wave dancers. These dancers are followed by Moana on her wayfinder canoe and Demigod Maui.
Coco
Next, is the Coco segment. Marigold Dancers lead this segment. They are followed by Miguel on a float with a marigold bridge between the living world and the Land of the Dead as portrayed in the Disney-Pixar film.
Alebrijes Dancers follow Miguel’s float. These colorful costumed dancers represent different spirit guides.
Frozen
The Frozen segment is next. This segment begins with Frozen 2 dancers representing the Enchanted Forest in Frozen 2. Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Sven follow riding on a large float representing both Frozen films while Kristoff follows behind.
Parade Finale
The parade finale begins with an entourage of Disney characters including: Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Pinocchio, Blue Fairy, Aladdin, Genie and Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. This group of characters lead the way for flag bearers, three small parade floats and one huge castle float. The flag bearers lead each of the three small parade floats that carry Cinderella, Arthur and Merlin from the Sword in the Stone and Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog.
Cinderella
Cinderella rides down Main Street USA in a transforming pumpkin carriage float.
The Sword in the Stone
Merlin from The Sword in the Stone wants Arthur to attempt to pull the sword from the stone. Will he do it? You will have to watch the parade to find out.
The Princess and the Frog
Then, flag bearers lead the way for Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. They have been transformed back to humans and dance down the bayou.
Sleeping Beauty
The parade concludes with a massive castle float carrying Princess Aurora, Prince Phillip and the three fairies: Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. I thought the photos that I captured from this parade performance showed the flag dancers having so much fun with the colorful flags. So, I wanted to share all of them.
Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip ride high atop the castle float while Flora and Merryweather fight to change Aurora’s dress from pink to blue.

The parade is currently performed twice daily at 3:00pm and 5:30pm PT. Check the Disney app or Disneyland website for up-to-date information.
The 3:00pm parade usually begins at Small World Mall and concludes at Town Square. And, the 5:30pm parade usually travels from Town Square to Small World Mall.
