The LEGO Store in Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort closed on October 7, 2024 for a long refurbishment. It was a surprise to see this location on the refurbishment calendar so close to the holidays even though the store really needed a refreshed look. Originally the refurbishment was scheduled through November 30, 2024 but surprisingly reopened a little over a week early this past week.

The LEGO Store is one of the most popular stores in Downtown Disney District and had really started to look dated. The huge LEGO figures in front of the location have been faded and dirty for a while now so a refurbishment was definitely needed. The store is one of the original retail locations in Downtown Disney District that opened in 2001. And while the store has had a few refurbishments over the years, it was definitely in need of another.

This week, the store reopened with new interior enhancements and fresh builds. The “Build Your Own Minifigures” display has been enhanced with a fresh new look along with the “Pick & Build” display.

The “Minifigure Factory” where guests can design and create a custom LEGO minifigure also has a new look.

On your next visit to Downtown Disney District, stop by the LEGO Store on the West End and check out the new interior enhancements. And since the exterior refurbishment is still in progress, more exciting updates are coming soon.
