Planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort? Before you go, check the reburbishment calendar to make sure your favorite attractions, food & beverage locations and merchandise shops will be open during your visit. This is the September 2024 Week 2 edition for the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Park

The following attractions, food & beverage locations and merchandise shops are currently closed for refurbishment at Disneyland Park:

Disneyland Railroad – August 5, 2024 – TBD

The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln – April 16, 2024 – TBD 2025
- The theater is currently being updated with a new show titled Walt Disney – A Magical Life that will open in 2025 as part of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary. The show will rotate with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln throughout the year.
The Disney Gallery – April 16, 2024 – September 30, 2024

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – May 31, 2023 – November 14, 2024
- Splash Mountain closed on May 31, 2023 and the attraction has been undergoing a retheming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure which will officially open on November 15, 2024.
The Briar Patch – May 1, 2024 – November 14, 2024
- The merchandise shop is currently being rethemed to Ray’s Berets as part of the renaming of Critter Country to Bayou Country.
Louis’ Critter Club – May 1, 2024 – November 14, 2024
- Part of Pooh Corner is being converted to Louis’ Critter Club as part of the renaming of Critter Country to Bayou Country. The confectionary side of Pooh Corner has already reopend and will keep Pooh Corner as the shops name.

Hungry Bear Restaurant – July 8, 2024 – TBD
- The quick-service restaurant is being remodeled and rethemed to Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree with an all-new menu. The restaurant will also feature the Country Bears. See the new menu here.
Critter Country Fruit Cart – July 8, 2024 – TBD

Upcoming Reburbishments at Disneyland Park:

Jungle Cruise – September 16, 2024 – October 3, 2024
“it’s a small world” – September 16, 2024 – November 14, 2024 and January 21, 2025 – TBD
- This is a regular refurbishment to convert the attraction to “it’s a small world” Holiday. The attraction will close again on January 21, 2025 to convert the attraction back to the regular “it’s a small world” boat ride.
Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island – September 16, 2024 – September 18, 2024
Sailing Ship Columbia – September 23, 2024 – September 26 – 2024

Dumbo the Flying Elephant – October 1, 2024 (one day only)

Disney California Adventure Park

The following attraction is currently closed for refurbishment at Disney California Adventure Park:

World of Color – ONE – September 9, 2024 – TBD

On Monday, September 16, 2024, three attractions at Disneyland Park will close for refurbishment: Jungle Cruise, “it’s a small world” and Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. Jungle Cruise will remained closed for three weeks for a regular refurbishment. Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island will only be closed for 3 days for a minor refurbishment. “it’s a small world” will be closed for two months for refurbishment and to be converted to “it’s a small world” Holiday.

There’s still no official reopening date the newly reimagined Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree so we are estimating November 15, 2024 along with the rest of Bayou Country but the quick-service restaurant may reopen before then.

To maintain the look, cleanliness, safety and equipment, the Disneyland Resort regularly closes attractions to reburbish them for future guest enjoyment. Also, some attractions may close to be rethemed with a new and exciting story.
