Summary

Meet Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow reopening date is back to being TBD because it is now listed on the Disneyland refurbishment calendar throughout January and up to the beginning of February which is as far out as the calendar currently goes. The refurbishment has been pushed out several times and the area has been closed for refurbishment since September 16, 2024. I’m not sure what they are doing that is taking so long (if anything) but I sure do hope that this very long closure means something great is happening behind those refurbishment walls. The Pixie Hollow lagoon reopened just over a week ago and looks beautiful so the meet & greet area shouldn’t really take take another month and a half or longer. Whatever is going on behind those refurbishment walls must be amazing if it is really going to take so much longer to finish.

The Disneyland Railroad will be closing again on January 13, 2025 to complete the railroad track replacement around the park. If you recall, the railroad was closed earlier this fall for refurbishment while Main Street Station was refurbished and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction was completed. During that time, some of the track between Fantasyland and Main Street Station was replaced. Rumors state that the Disneyland Railroad should reopen before Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary begins on May 16, 2025.

The Haunted Mansion will close on January 7, 2025 for a 10 day refurbishment to be converted back to the regular mansion attraction. The new Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond shop which is adjacent to the attractions exit is looking complete on the outside so my guess is the shop will open around the time the attraction reopens on January 17, 2025.

A closing date has been announced for the Red Car Trolley at Disney California Adventure Park. The last day for guests to enjoy riding the Red Car Trolley is February 8, 2025. The attraction will close permanently the next day to begin construction on the expansion of Avengers Campus. Rumors state that one of the Red Car Trolley cars will remain parked for photo opportunities. Also, it is possible that the attraction could return in the future but probably not for a while.

To maintain the look, cleanliness, safety and equipment, the Disneyland Resort regularly closes attractions to refurbish them for future guest enjoyment. Also, some attractions may close to be rethemed with a new and exciting story.

Check back every week for an updated list of closures at the Disneyland Resort.
