Planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort? Before you go, check the Disneyland Resort refurbishment calendar to make sure your favorite attractions, food & beverage locations and merchandise shops will be open during your visit. This is the March 2025 Week 2 edition for the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Park

The following attractions, food & beverage locations and/or merchandise shops are currently closed for refurbishment at Disneyland Park:

The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln – April 16, 2024 – July 16, 2025
- The theater is currently being updated with a new show titled Walt Disney – A Magical Life that will open on July 17, 2025 on Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary. The show will rotate with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln throughout the year.
Meet Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow – September 16, 2024 – TBD
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe – January 7, 2025 – March 21, 2025

“it’s a small world” – January 21, 2025 – April 24, 2025

Disney California Adventure Park

The following attractions, food & beverage locations and/or merchandise shops are currently closed for refurbishment at Disney California Adventure Park:

Grizzly River Run – January 6, 2025 – March 13, 2025
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! – March 10, 2025 – March 20, 2025

No upcoming refurbishments are scheduled at this time.

Downtown Disney District

The following food & beverage locations are currently under construction and taking over a previously closed location at Downtown Disney District:

Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ (formerly Tortilla Jo’s) – March 31, 2024 – TBD
- Tortilla Jo’s closed in Downtown Disney on March 31, 2024 and nothing has happened to the vacated building since the dining location closed (which was almost a year ago) until this past week. Walls are now up around the building. I don’t know if the building will be completely demolished or modified for the two new locations taking over the space. I thought they were only going to modify the existing building for the new Steakhouse and BBQ dining locations but we’ll see what happens over the next few weeks.

Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland Park

Summary

At Disneyland Park, “it’s a small world” and Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe are closed. And, Indiana Jones Adventure will close for refurbishment on Monday, March 17, 2025. Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is scheduled to reopen March 22, 2025 and “it’s a small world” will reopen on April 25, 2025 with new magic.

At Disney California Adventure Park, Grizzly River Run is closed for refurbishment but is scheduled to reopen on Friday, March 14, 2025. Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! closes today, March 10, 2025 for a short refurbishment, reopening on March 20, 2025.

Know Before You Go The Disneyland Resort Edition - Grizzly River Rapids - 02.22.2025

Meet Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow is back to being TBD. Last week it was removed from the refurbishment calendar on April 5 but the area is back on the refurbishment calendar again this week. The refurbishment has been pushed out several times and the area has been closed for refurbishment since September 16, 2024. I don’t think they are really doing anything behind those refurb walls and the area is only a meet & greet area so I don’t understand why the area is still on the refurbishment calendar.

The Hyperion Theater has been closed since August 2023. The queue area is used for special events and as an expanded guest dining area. However, we should hear something about the theater and Hollywood Land in the next few weeks.

To maintain the look, cleanliness, safety and equipment, the Disneyland Resort regularly closes attractions to refurbish them for future guest enjoyment. Also, some attractions may close to be rethemed with a new and exciting story.
