Planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort? Before you go, check the reburbishment calendar to make sure your favorite attractions, food & beverage locations and merchandise shops will be open during your visit.

To maintain the look, cleanliness, safety and equipment, the Disneyland Resort regularly closes attractions to reburbish them for future guest enjoyment. Also, some attractions may close to be rethemed with a new and exciting story.

Disneyland Park

The following attractions, food & beverage locations and merchandise shops are currently closed for refurbishment at Disneyland Park:

Disneyland Railroad – August 5, 2024 – TBD
The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln – April 16, 2024 – TBD 2025
- The theater is currently being updated with a new show titled Walt Disney – A Magical Life that will open in 2025 as part of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary. The show will rotate with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln throughout the year.

The Disney Gallery – April 16, 2024 – September 30, 2024
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – May 31, 2023 – November 14, 2024
- Splash Mountain closed on May 31, 2023 and the attraction has been undergoing a retheming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure which will officially open on November 15, 2024.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – May 1, 2024 – TBD
The Briar Patch – May 1, 2024 – TBD
- The merchandise shop is currently being rethemed to Ray’s Berets as part of the renaming of Critter Country to Bayou Country.

Pooh Corner – May 1, 2024 – TBD
- The section of the merchandise shop closest to the exit of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is currently being rethemed to Louis’ Critter Club as part of the renaming of Critter Country to Bayou Country. The treats side of Pooh Corner will remain.
Hungry Bear Restaurant – July 8, 2024 – TBD
- The quick-service restaurant is being remodeled and rethemed to Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree with an all-new menu. The restaurant will also feature the Country Bears. See the new menu here.
Critter Country Fruit Cart – July 8, 2024 – TBD
Space Mountain – August 5, 2024 – September 5, 2024

Disneyland Monorail – August 12, 2024 – TBD

Upcoming Reburbishments at Disneyland Park:

Indiana Jones Adventure – September 9, 2024 – September 13, 2024

Jungle Cruise – September 16, 2024 – TBD
“it’s a small world” – September 16, 2024 – November 14, 2024 and January 21, 2025 – TBD
- This is a regular refurbishment to convert the attraction to “it’s a small world” Holiday. The attraction will close again on January 21, 2025 to convert the attraction back to the regular “it’s a small world” boat ride.

Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island – September 16, 2024 – September 18, 2024
Sailing Ship Columbia – September 23, 2024 – September 26 – 2024
Dumbo the Flying Elephant – October 1, 2024 (one day only)

Disney California Adventure Park

The following attraction is currently closed for refurbishment at Disney California Adventure Park:

Animation Academy – August 5, 2024 – August 29, 2024

Upcoming Reburbishments at Disney California Adventure Park:

World of Color – ONE – September 9, 2024 – TBD

The Disneyland Resort reburbishment calendar is pretty full right now. One reason is because Critter Country is being rethemed to Bayou Country which accounts for 6 of the closures. All of the shops and restaurants in Bayou Country should open on or before November 15, 2024 but an official date for these locations have not been announced yet. Another reason for so many closures is the resort is getting ready for the holidays and for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary so that accounts for several closures.
