Every year, both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort share a few Limited Edition monthly pins that are released as part of a series with a total of 12 pins (one for each month) in the series.
This year, one of the monthly pin series that will be available at both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort is the “It’s Showtime Posters” pin series. I was able to preview this new monthly pin series this past August at the Magic Hap-Pins pin event in Florida. The pins in this series feature a Broadway or movie style poster featuring characters from a Disney movie (including the Muppets). Each pin has a Limited Edition size of 3,000 and the retail price for each pin is $19.99.
The first three poster pins in the series are from Pinocchio, the Three Caballeros and A Goofy Movie. The Pinocchio “It’s Showtime Posters” pin is the first pin in the series that will be released in January at both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort. The Three Caballeros pin will be released in February and the Powerline pin from A Goofy Movie in March.
The second quarter pins include The Aristocats, The Lion King and The Great Gonzo from A Muppet Movie. The Aristocats pin will be released in April, The Lion King pin in May and The Great Gonzo pin in June. Exact release dates are not available at this time.
