Holidays at the Disneyland Resort begin this year on November 15, 2024 with new and returning holiday entertainment around the resort. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park along with the Downtown Disney District and Disneyland Resort Hotels will feature a wide variety of festive entertainment through January 6, 2025.
Disney California Adventure Park
Two new holiday shows along with returning entertainment will be a part of the Festival of the Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park this year. Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto and Miguel from Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco will both be featured in new entertainment around the park.
Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season
Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto will star in Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season outside the entrance of Paradise Gardens Park. Scheduled Mondays through Fridays, Mirabel and her friends will lead guests in a sing along to songs from the film.
A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!
Miguel from Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco will make a special appearance at A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel! every Monday through Friday evenings on Buena Vista Street. This nighttime show will celebrate the holidays with heartfelt stories and timeless songs. Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland, accompanied by graceful dancers, will deliver intimate, bilingual performances of beloved Christmas songs. The celebration will close with a special appearance by Miguel for a beautiful rendition of “Silent Night.”
New and Returning Live Musical Acts
This year’s Festival of the Holidays features an expanded rotation of live bands and cultural performance groups. Scheduled daily at various stages around Disney California Adventure Park, new and returning live musical acts will feature a range of genres including mariachi, jazz, klezmer, Latin pop, fusion, reggae, polka and more. Several new live bands and cultural performance groups will perform, such as Joy, Rangoli Rhythms, Malaya Filipino American Dance Arts, Keali’I O Nālani & Daniel Ho and more! Also many returning favorites will include Blue13 Dance Company and The Mistletoes!

Mickey’s Happy Holidays
Mickey’s Happy Holidays, a character dance performance along the parade route, is returning daily to Disney California Adventure Park. The performance features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and many of their Disney and Pixar friends dancing to holiday tunes along with the Holiday Toy Drummers. The dance along is performed several times a day starting at The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction marching all the way to Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
Holiday Toy Drummers
The Holiday Toy Drummers will return to Paradise Gardens Park for daily performances several times a day. The show features playfully precision percussion by four Holiday Toy Drummers.
Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party
One of the best shows of the holiday season is only returning on Saturdays and Sundays this year. Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party features The Three Caballeros, Mexican folklórico dancers, mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers, percussionists and more! Plus, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse make a special appearance at the end of each show in their colorful fiesta attire for a festive grand finale.
World of Color – Season of Light
World of Color – Season of Light is returning to Disney California Adventure Park for nightly performances. This stunning nighttime spectacular features scenes from films such as Pixar Animation Studios’ Inside Out and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen set to lively holiday music.
For a limited time beginning November 15, an all-new water short highlighting Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new film Moana 2 will be presented before the show. Moana 2 sails into theaters on November 27.
It is highly recommended to join the virtual queue to experience World of Color – Season of Light. The virtual queue is available to join on the Disneyland app at 7am and 12noon daily.
Meet Santa Claus
Santa Claus will return to Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure Park for daily meet & greets through December 24. Starting December 25, Santa Goofy will meet & greet guests through the end of the holiday season celebration.
Disneyland Park
A Christmas Fantasy Parade
A Christmas Fantasy Parade is returning to Disneyland Park for daily performances. The parade route runs from “it’s a small world” Holiday to Main Street, U.S.A. for one performance and then from Main Street, U.S.A. to “it’s a small world” Holiday for the second performance. The parade is filled with jolly elves, dancing gingerbread cookies, prancing reindeer and lots of Disney & Pixar characters.
Disney Holiday Dance Party
Tomorrowland Terrace in Disneyland Park will host a nightly Disney Holiday Dance Party. The dance party will feature holiday tunes and stage appearances by favorite Disney characters dressed up for the season.
Holiday Fun with Santa and Friends!
This year, guests wanting to meet Santa Claus at Disneyland Park will find the jolly elf at the Fantasyland Theatre. Throughout each day of the holiday season, Santa Claus and select Disney characters will make appearances and pose for holiday photos at Holiday Fun with Santa and Friends! The area will also feature craft making, sing-alongs of holiday classics and atmospheric music.
Believe…In Holiday Magic
Believe…In Holiday Magic fireworks spectacular is returning nightly to the sky above Disneyland Park. The best place to view the fireworks show is on Main Street, U.S.A. but viewing areas are also available at “it’s a small world” Holiday and along the Rivers of America.
Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle
Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle will shimmer with more than 80,000 twinkling lights, sparkling “icicles” and glistening snow-capped turrets as a magical snow falls each night along parts of Main Street, U.S.A., near “it’s a small world” Holiday and along the Rivers of America.
Downtown Disney District
Each night of the holiday season, enjoy live music performed on the Downtown Disney District stage. Featured acts will cover genres such as rock, jazz and classic caroling. And starting November 29 through January 6, 2025, snow will fall nightly in the area around the Downtown Disney District stage during special moments of the night.
Disneyland Resort Hotels
All three Disneyland Resort Hotels will host holiday carolers on select days starting November 21 through December 31, 2024.
In addition, on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings starting November 22, live holiday jazz will be performed in the Great Hall lobby at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
Meet Santa Claus
Santa Claus will swing by Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel throughout the day when he is not busy meeting guests in the theme parks. Starting November 28 through December 24, Santa will be available during select times at each of the Disneyland Resort Hotels.
Holiday Celebration
This year, there is even more holiday entertainment to enjoy around the Disneyland Resort. What are you excited to experience?
