Happy Lunar New Year 2025, the Year of the Snake. Today, January 29, 2025 is the official beginning of the Lunar New Year. However, the celebration at Disney California Adventure Park began on January 17 to allow for a full month of celebration which lasts through February 16, 2025.
During the celebration, guests can meet Mickey & Minnie Mouse dressed in all-new outfits with representations of traditional Korean attire. They rotate their meet & greet with Mulan and Mushu in Paradise Gardens.
Mei & Ming Lee from Pixar Animation Studios’ Turning Red are also at Disney California Adventure Park for the celebration.
Festive Lunar New Year banners hang from the light posts around the theme park featuring Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle Cow, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Goofy.
Part of the special entertainment during the Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure Park includes “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” with Chinese performers and Disney characters.
“Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” is performed fours times a day and travels from Hollywood Land to Paradise Gardens during each performance. The showtimes are 12:45pm, 2:30pm, 5:00pm, and 6:45pm.
The procession includes a beautiful dragon with performers guiding it through the parade route. And of course, Mulan and Mushu make an appearance during the procession.
And there is plenty of Lunar New Year merchandise to purchase and take home to remember the 2025 celebration.
This joyous celebration honors Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures. To celebrate the official beginning of Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake, I wanted to share these pictures with you from the celebration currently taking place around Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort.
