Happy 69th Birthday Disneyland! Today, July 17, 2024 is the 69th anniversary of Disneyland park.
The park opened it’s gates for the first time on this day in 1955 welcoming the first guests to the Happiest Place on Earth. Walt Disney himself was in the park on opening day welcoming guests and dedicating the park. Walt’s dedication speech was as follows:
“To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America — with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.”
To celebrate their anniversary, every year Disneyland has a cavalcade that travels along the parade route with a few stops along the way to celebrate the happy occasion. This year, Disneyland’s 69th Birthday Celebration Cavalcade is scheduled for 12:15pm PT.
To celebrate the 69th Birthday of Disneyland, I wanted to share a few pictures from Disneyland’s 68th Birthday Celebration Cavalcade from 2023.

Happy 69th Birthday Disneyland! I wish you many, many more happy birthdays to come!
