D23 15th Anniversary
Today marks the 15th Anniversary of the D23 Fan Club, “The Official Disney Fan Club”. The fan club was established 15 years ago today on March 10, 2009. It is the first-ever “official” club of its kind in the history of The Walt Disney Company.
Tonight at Disney Springs, D23 will have an official 15th Anniversary Celebration at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. The sold out event will include bowling, games, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks and a look back at the last 15 years. There will also be photo opportunities for attendees. Unfortunately, Disney characters are not scheduled to attend the event.
D23 Gold Members attending the event will receive an event-exclusive “Cosmic Blue” variant of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse Figurine from the 2024 D23 Magic & Mystery Gold Member Collector Set, along with an event-exclusive D23 15th Anniversary Pin inspired by the Magic & Mystery of Disney.
There was also a special merchandise RSP opportunity to purchase D23 15th anniversary pins for members attending the event. I picked up my pins a few hours ago and will share those with you all real soon.
Today, even Bob Iger wished D23 and it’s members a happy anniversary in a special message shared on the D23 website and YouTube Channel.

That a Wrap!
This is an exciting time for The Walt Disney Company and the D23 Ultimate Fan Event in August is sure to bring some exciting news. The company is investing $60 Billion in the growth and expansion of the Disney Parks around the world over the next 10 years and the DisneylandForward project is nearing a final vote from the Anaheim Planning Commission tomorrow evening and from the Anaheim City Council on April 16th. So if all goes well, we should be receiving some fantastic news from the Disney Parks over the next few months.
