Disney's Moana 2 Now on Digital

The sequel to Disney Animation Studios’ 2016 Moana is now available to buy on Digital. The Digital 4K download of Disney’s Moana 2 can be ordered now on iTunes, Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Xfinity, Google Play and Microsoft Movies for $29.99.

Physical copies of the movie will be available to purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray and DVD starting Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Physical copies of Disney’s Moana 2 will be available for preorder soon from mass retailers like Amazon, Target and Walmart.

Moana 2 Staying Strong while Mufasa: The Lion King Gets a Slow Start

The movie will eventually make it’s way to Disney+ but a premiere date for Disney+ has not been announced at this time. However, based on the Disney+ release of previous films, Disney’s Moana 2 will most likely release on Disney+ in late February or sometime in March 2025.

The film takes place three years after the original 2016 Disney animated classic film with Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson returning as the voices of Moana and demigod Maui. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced. Moana is joined by Hei Hei and Pua on her journey and encounters Maui along the way.
