A date has finally been announced for when Disney’s Moana 2 will be available to stream on Disney+. The sequel to Disney Animation Studios’ 2016 Moana is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
The hit film was released at the end of January for Digital Download and is currently available to order on iTunes, Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Xfinity, Google Play and Microsoft Movies. Also, the film will be available to purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray and DVD starting Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Physical copies of Disney’s Moana 2 are currently available to preorder from mass retailers like Amazon, Target and Walmart.

Moana 2 takes place three years after the original 2016 Disney animated classic film with Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson returning as the voices of Moana and demigod Maui. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced before. Moana is joined by Hei Hei and Pua on her journey and encounters Maui along the way. Plus, she has another action packed encounter with the Kakamora!
