DisneylandForward

In October 2023, the City of Anaheim released a Fact Sheet about the DisneylandForward project which contained concept art for a new potential parking structure on the east side of the Disneyland Resort along with a few other high-level details about the DisneylandForward project.

Potential New Parking Structure for the Disneyland Resort

Now, on January 23, 2024, there is an Anaheim City Council Workshop scheduled for the DisneylandForward project. I’m not aware of any details about the workshop at this time but the City of Anaheim website states to “check back for more details”.

I’ll keep an eye on the City of Anaheim’s website and update you if and when I find out more information.

You can learn more about the DisneylandForward project at DisneylandForward.com.

New Park Entrances

In other news, the Disneyland Resort filed permits with the City of Anaheim in December 2023 to construct new entrances to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The permit is to remove the existing turnstiles and gates and to install new automatic guest entry gates. The permit also includes fixing manual gates and removable railings, installing new overhead shrouds and replacing fabric awnings.

At this time, we don’t really know what all of this means. The new automatic guest entry gates could be something similar to the entrances at the Walt Disney World theme parks or something completely different. I’m sure we’ll hear more information soon.

Well, that’s not a whole lot of breaking news, but I was happy to see the workshop on the City Councils Agenda for next week which gives me hope that the re-zoning associated with the DisneylandForward project will be reviewed and hopefully approved soon.

I’ll “See ya real soon” Mouseketeers!
