Disneyland Teases the Return of Paint the Night Parade

Today on Instagram, the Disneyland Resort teased the return of Paint the Night Parade. While no other information was shared including a return date nor which park the popular nighttime parade will return to, social media has been buzzing with excitement about the return of this beloved fan-favorite parade.

The parade originally premiered at Hong Kong Disneyland on September 11, 2014. Then the California version of the parade premiered at Disneyland Park on May 22, 2015 as part of the resort’s 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration. The parade continued performances at Disneyland Park throughout the 60th Diamond Celebration until September 5, 2016 when the parade ended its run.

Two years later, the parade returned to the Disneyland Resort with nightly performances at Disney California Adventure Park from April 12, 2018 through November 7, 2018. Several parade floats were modified for this run because they were too tall to clear the Red Car Trolley’s overhead wires. While the Frozen float did not return for this run of the parade, a new Incredibles float was added to promote the release of Incredibles 2 in theaters.

Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary

While no return date was announced today, I assume the parade will be returning in 2025 as part of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary. And, it would make sense for the parade to return to Disneyland Park for the anniversary, but could also return to Disney California Adventure Park since that park does not have as much nighttime entertainment as Disneyland Park does. My guess is the parade will debut sometime in April or May 2025 but that is only my prediction and in no way official information. However, as soon as the official parade return date is announced, I will be sure to let you know.
