Disneyland Magic Key 70th Anniversary Kick-Off Event

Starting this Friday, May 16, the Disneyland Resort will kick-off more than a year-long celebration to celebrate the Resorts 70th anniversary. And to get the 70th anniversary started, Disneyland Magic Key holders are invited to a special Kick-Off Event.

Starting May 27 to June 2, 2025, Disneyland Magic Key holders can stop by the Hyperion Theater Courtyard at Disney California Adventure Park for a special Magic Key 70th Anniversary Celebration event. The event will include themed photo opportunities, a special photo booth with complimentary prints and an exclusive Paint the Night Electrical Parade poster (while supplies last).

The event will take from 3:30pm to 8:00pm on May 27-30 & June 2. On Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, the event is scheduled for 11:00am to 4:00pm. An active Magic Key pass is required to participate and enter the courtyard.

Also, a virtual queue will be in place for the Magic Key 70th Anniversary Celebration event. Magic Key holders will need to join the virtual queue in the Disneyland app on the day of your visit. Only Magic Key holders with a Disney California Adventure Park or Disneyland Park reservation will have the opportunity to join the virtual queue starting at 7:00am each day.

How to Join the Virtual Queue

Follow these easy instructions to join the virtual queue for the Magic Key 70th Anniversary Celebration event:

Open the Disneyland app and tap the menu in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Then, select “Virtual Queues”.
Click to join the virtual queue for the Magic Key 70th Anniversary Celebration event.
You will receive a boarding group number that will give you an estimate of how long your wait is to enter the event area. The higher your boarding group number, the longer your wait. The lower boarding group numbers are called first when the event opens each day.

Once your boarding group is called, you will receive a push notification from the Disneyland app on your phone with your designated return window. Go to the Hyperion Theater Courtyard to check in during your designated return window to enjoy the event.
