Next week on Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary, both Disneyland and Walt Disney World will debut the third verse written for “it’s a small world.” Before passing away last year, legendary composer and Disney Legend Richard M. Sherman wrote a third verse for the beloved attraction as his final contribution to Disney.
Upon park opening of both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park on July 17, 2025, guests riding “it’s a small world” will be treated to the third verse in the final scene of the attraction.

The lyrics for the “it’s a small world” third verse are:
“Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all.”
Sherman Brothers Short Film Coming to Disneyland
In addition to the debut of a new verse for “it’s a small world”, Disneyland Park will honor the legendary Sherman brothers with a short film inside the Main Street Cinema. The new three-and-a-half minute film called “The Last Verse” will celebrate the timeless connection and hope behind the Sherman brothers’ iconic song written for “it’s a small world.” Created for the song’s 60th anniversary, this film will also unveil the new verse.
