Disneyland 70th Celebration Dole Whip Cup Coming Soon

This year, Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary and National DOLE Whip Day are both on Thursday, July 17, 2025. And because of this, on July 17^th a special Disneyland 70^th Celebration Cup will be available for purchase at select locations with your favorite DOLE Whip treat.

At Disneyland Park, the Disneyland 70^th Celebration Cup will be available for purchase via mobile order only at the Tiki Juice Bar in front of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and at The Tropical Hideaway behind the Tiki Room and in front of The Jungle Cruise, both in Adventureland. And at Disneyland Hotel, you can find this souvenir cup at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.

The Disneyland 70^th Celebration Dole Whip Cup is pictured with a Pineapple Upside Down Sundae which is a special Disneyland Resort 70^th Celebration Item. This limited-time sundae available only for the 70^th celebration features a Pineapple DOLE Whip with caramel drizzle and pineapple upside-down cake topped with a maraschino cherry.

History of the DOLE Whip

The world famous DOLE Whip was created by the Dole Food Company in 1984 and first introduced at the Walt Disney World Resort. The dairy-free frozen treat then made it’s way to the Disneyland Resort in 1986. The original DOLE Whip consisted of a float of whip in a glass of pineapple juice, topped with a maraschino cherry. Now, the main DOLE Whip treat comes swirled in a cup and it is one of the most popular treats at Disney Parks.

In December 2018, Disneyland Park in California opened the Tropical Hideaway, which offers a seating and dining area for Adventureland and serves DOLE Whip treats. With more space, the Tropical Hideaway gave Disneyland the opportunity to create more DOLE Whip flavors and options. And today, there are several DOLE Whip flavors to choose from including strawberry, pineapple and mango. And guests can enjoy a DOLE Whip as a swirl in a cup or as a float. Plus there is now a sundae option. And, at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Hotel, guests can even enjoy a DOLE Whip Float with a Splash of Rum.

With such a popular treat and so many options to choose from, it’s no wonder that there is now an official National DOLE Whip Day, celebrated on the third Thursday of July. And this year, this frozen treat day will be celebrated hand-in-hand with Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary of its opening day.
