The all-new nighttime parade “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” officially premieres at the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort tonight. The parade had a few preview performances Friday and Saturday nights giving guests a sneak peek at the first all-new nighttime parade at the Magic Kingdom since “Spectro Magic” ended it’s long run in 2010.
The parade includes all-new floats that will light up the night at the Magic Kingdom featuring some of our favorite Disney characters. And a grand finale float features a nod to the “Main Street Electrical Parade”, the first-ever nighttime spectacular parade at a Disney Park. The float carries Goofy & Pluto driving a train similar to Casey Jr. that features an all-new character created just for “Disney Starlight” named Whimsy. He is the character face guests will see on the front of the grand finale train float. The float also carries Donald & Daisy Duck, Snow White & Dopey, Rapunzel & Flynn Rider, Aladdin & Jasmine with Mickey & Minnie Mouse rounding out the cast.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away
The parade begins with the Blue Fairy which is also a nod to the original “Main Street Electrical Parade”. She waves her magic wand and lights up the night as the parade begins.

The blue fairy is followed by Asha, Valentino and Star from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wish riding on a wishing tree float.

The Wish float is followed by the Madrigal family from Disney’s Encanto. The float features the miracle candle which gave the family their special gifts. Mirabel, Isabela and Bruno share their magical gifts with guests as they float along the parade route.

The next float carries Elsa from Disney’s Frozen. Images of other characters from the movie are projected onto the ice speres on this magical ice float.
Disney Princesses and their Prince will dance the night away at a floating royal ball on the next float in the “Disney Starlight” parade. The float features Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen, Belle and the Beast, and Cinderella and Prince Charming on a sparkling float that was built for Disney Princesses.

The only Pixar float in the parade features Miguel from Disney-Pixar’s Coco. Sounds of Mariachi music announce the arrival of a larger-than-life Alebrije with his wings spread above the parade route. Miguel strums his guitar on the marigold bridge to the Land of the Dead as the float rolls by.
Moana and Pua ride high on the waves of the next float in the “Disney Starlight” parade. Luminescent waves carry Moana’s wayfinder boat as it floats down Main Street, U.S.A.

The Moana float is followed by Big Ben and the roof tops of London while Peter Pan and Wendy fly through the sky towards the second star to the right.
Grand Finale
The Grand Finale floats is next featuring the Whimsy on the front of the train. Goofy and Pluto engineer the train that carries Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Snow White, Dopey, Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Aladdin, Jasmine, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

The parade comes to an end with a nod to “Spectro Magic” with Jiminy Cricket floating in the starlight.

The all-new “Disney Starlight” nighttime parade officially debuts tonight at the Magic Kingdom with showtimes at 9:00pm and 11:00pm. The parade is scheduled throughout the rest of the summer twice nightly at the same showtimes with no performances scheduled on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights.
