Every year, both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort share a few Limited Edition monthly pins that are released as part of a series with a total of 12 pins (one for each month) in the series.
This year, one of the monthly pin series that will be available at both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort is the “Disney Spring Rides” pin series. I was able to preview this new monthly pin series this past August at the Magic Hap-Pins pin event in Florida. The pins in this series feature a Disney Character riding an iconic object related to that character on a spring. Each pin has a Limited Edition size of 4,000 and the retail price for each pin is $19.99.
The first three pins in the series are the Genie, Oswald and Donald Duck. The Genie “Disney Spring Rides” pin is the first pin in the series that will be released in January at both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort. The Oswald the Rabbit pin will be released in February and the Donald Duck pin in March.
The second quarter pins include Sorcerer Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and an Ewok from Star Wars. The Sorcerer Mickey pin will be released in April, the Winnie the Pooh pin in May and the Ewok pin in June. Exact release dates are not available at this time.
