Annual Price Increase
It’s that time of year again and Disney+ has published their new rates which will take effect on October 21, 2025. These annual price increases have occurred every October since Disney+ premiered in 2019.
Here are the details of the different subscription plans along with the current and new prices:
Disney+ Premium is currently $15.99/month or $159.99/year but will increase to $18.99/month or $189.99/year starting October 21, 2025. The premium subscription is Ad free and includes video quality in up to 4K UHD & HDR.
The Disney+ Basic subscription with Ads is $9.99/month but will increase to $11.99/month starting October 21, 2025.
Disney offers several bundles that include Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select or HBO Max. The Disney+ and Hulu bundle (both with Ads) that is currently $10.99/month will increase to $12.99/month. Disney+ and Hulu (both without Ads) will remain the same at $19.99/month.
The bundle with access to Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select (all with Ads) will increase from $16.99/month to $19.99/month. And the bundle with no Ads for Disney+ & Hulu but with Ads for ESPN Select will increase from $26.99/month to $29.99/month.
Overall, most subscription plans are increasing $2 to $3 per month.

Note that existing subscribers will see the price increase on their next billing date on or after October 21, 2025. For example, if you are paying yearly, you will not see the price increase until your plan is up for renewal.
What do you think about the Disney+ price increases? Overall, the prices aren’t too bad considering the content Disney+ has available to stream. In addition, a lot of Hulu content is also available to stream on Disney+ even if you do not subscribe to Hulu (or have a bundle subscription). With so many different streaming services available including free streaming, it is a bold move to increase subscription prices; however, based on the content that Disney+ provides which includes a huge library of blockbuster movies, the monthly and annual prices are not bad in comparison to the price of movie theater tickets.
