Pin Trading at Disney Parks started in October 1999 as part of the Millennium Celebration. And, what better way to get started with the fad than with Disney Pin Trading Starter Sets. Starter Sets include four pins & a Disney lanyard and are available at Disney Parks around the world. The current price for these Starter Sets is $39.99 and new sets are introduced at Disney merchandise shops all the time. Let’s take a look at a few of the newer Disney Pin Trading Starter Sets available at the Disneyland Resort merchandise shops. These sets are also available at the Walt Disney World Resort merchandise shops.
Disney Pins Starter Set
This first starter set includes a combination of random characters that have nothing in common (except for the fact that they are all animal characters). The set includes Animal from The Muppets, Dumbo, Robin Hood and Scrooge McDuck. The lanyard included with the pins is white with colorful Mickey head outlines printed all over the lanyard.
Stitch & Friends Pin Trading Starter Set
This next starter set includes characters from the Lilo & Stitch movie and animated series. The set includes Leroy, Stitch, Reuben and Angel. The lanyard included with this starter set has the characters faces printed all over the lanyard.
Pixar Pins Toy Story Starter Set
Next, this Pixar Pins Toy Story starter set features characters from the Toy Story movies enjoying food, games and the great outdoors. Buzz Lightyear is carrying a hamburger, Jessie and an Alien are enjoying a game of croquet, Bo Peep is enjoying the summer sun and Woody is holding bottles of ketchup and mustard. The lanyard features Aliens and the Pixar Ball.
Star Wars Pins Pin Trading Light Side Starter Set
These next two Star Wars pin trading starter sets are not new. However, I am including them in this post since the Season of the Force has begun at the Disneyland Resort and May the 4th is just around the corner.
This first Star Wars pin trading starter set features characters from the light side of the force. The four pins included in this set are Yoda, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO. The lanyard is blue with red, green and blue stripes with Star Wars icons printed around the lanyard.
Star Wars Pins Pin Trading Dark Side Starter Set
And, this next Star Wars pin trading starter set features characters from the dark side of the force. The four pins included in this set are: a Scout Trooper, Snowtrooper, Darth Vader and an Imperial Stormtrooper. The lanyard is black with blue, white and green stripes with Star Wars icons related to the dark side of the force printed around the lanyard.
All four Pin Trading Starter Sets are open edition sets and include open edition pins. Retail price for each Pin Trading Starter Set is $39.99 each.
