Spaceship Earth is the icon for Walt Disney World’s EPCOT theme park and an opening day attraction. The attraction experience has evolved since the park first opened in 1982 but the overall theme has basically remained the same. While experiencing the attraction, guests travel through time and explore the history of human innovation from the Stone Age to the computer age.

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in August, it was announced that Spaceship Earth will be re-imagined bringing the attraction into the internet age and beyond. The timeline or the actual details of the re-imagining were not announced but this will be the first update to the attraction in nearly 20 years.
