During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, CA last month, details were shared about the upcoming live-action remake of the 2010 Disney Animated Film Tangled. The cast and crew are currently filming the live-action movie on location in Spain and we have an update on the cast and planned release date.
Tangled is directed by Michael Gracey with the main role of Princess Rapunzel played by Teagan Croft who is known for her portrayal as the superhero Raven in the DC series Titans. Kathryn Hahn who portrayed Agatha in the Disney+ series Agatha All Along will play Mother Gothel. Milo Manheim from the Disney Channel Zombies franchise takes on the role of Flynn Rider, the witty and sarcastic male lead.
Disney’s live-action Tangled is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 31, 2028 (date subject to change).
Other cast members include Elliot Cowan as King Frederic, Caitríona Balfe as Queen Arianna, Diego Luna as Hawthorne and Patrick and Hugo McPherson as the Stabbington Brothers.
