Last weekend during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro revealed that four new ships will be joining Disney Cruise Line’s ever-growing roster of award-winning ships sailing around the world. These new ships will be joining the fleet between 2027 and 2031.
Disney Cruise Line currently has five ships in their fleet with four others already in the works including the Disney Treasure sailing later this year and Disney Destiny sailing late 2025. Now with these four additional ships announced, the Disney Cruise Line fleet will have a total of 13 ships by the end of 2031. The names, designs and itineraries for these four new ships are still in development, but will be announced over the next few years.
Disney Hercules Stage Show
In addition to the four new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, Josh also announced that the signature production aboard the Disney Destiny sailing in November 2025 will be “Disney Hercules” featuring music and characters from the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic film.
Disney Moana Stage Show
Additionally, Josh revealed new details about the Disney Treasure that sets sail this December. Aboard the ship, guest will enjoy a brand-new stage show called “Disney The Tale of Moana.” The show will include a giant 15-foot-tall puppet of Te Kā as the tale of Moana comes to life on stage.
