At the Disneyland Resort, the Downtown Disney District has been under construction for quite some time and we now have some concept art for the new Parkside Market, Paseo and Céntrico, a new quick service location announcement and Earl of Sandwich news from Disneyland. Plus we have an estimated time frame for the completion and opening of Paseo and Céntrico.
Parkside Market
Parkside Market will be operated by Levy Restaurants and will include four dining offerings under one roof including Seoul Sister, Sip & Sonder, GG’s Chicken Shop and a Second Story Bar. To learn more about these dining options, read our previous blog post here.
Here’s concept art of the interior and exterior of the new Parkside Market.
Earl of Sandwich
Plans are in the works for an all-new, two-story Earl of Sandwich location in Downtown Disney District. The new location will have a quick-service option on the ground level and a table-service gastropub on the second level.
In the meantime, Earl of Sandwich will be relocating from its current temporary location on the east end of the Downtown Disney District near the Esplanade (the old La Brea building) to a temporary pop-up location near Star Wars Trading Post and the old ESPN building. The location near the Esplanade will be demolished to build an all new building for Porto’s Bakery.
Paseo and Céntrico and Announcing Tiendita!
In the center of Downtown Disney District, construction is well underway on the new new Paseo and Céntrico location. This location will offer upscale Mexican cuisine and tequila-based cocktail menu items created by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. Paseo will have a dining room on the second floor and Céntrico will have dining on the first floor along with a courtyard bar.
Tiendita will be the newest Downtown Disney District tenant in the space next door to the Paseo and Céntrico location. They will offer quick-service Mexican street-food staples by Chef Gaytán’s.
These locations are currently scheduled to open later this spring.
Future Plans
Future plans for the Downtown Disney District include a Din Tai Fung location near the Parkside Market. Din Tai Fung is a world-renowned Chinese restaurant known for its soup dumplings and noodles. This locations new building is currently under construction.
